Trip 1 Fishing Report –
Overall Conditions
Weather: Foggy and 48 degrees
Ocean Surface: Smooth
Water Temp: About 57 degrees
Surf: 3-5′ faces
Bait used: Carolina Rig with Berkley Gulp! Sandworm (camo)
Fishing Summary
Conditions have been tough the last 2 weeks with larger surf and then the dense fog the last 2 days. Needless to say, I did not have success this morning. I was only able to fish for about 45 minutes. But, there is always a silver lining. With the increase in surf size lately, there is an abundance of holes/structure for the fish to hide is – waiting to strike at any moment. While I did not catch anything, I did have plenty of nibbles/bites from what I suspect are small perch. I saw another angler catch a small perch (probably 5″ – 6″ long) during the last few minutes before I had to leave.
Until my next post, have fun and stay healthy!
