Arizona Complimentary Fishing Licenses
Complimentary or “free” fishing licenses are available for persons meeting specific criteria. These licenses are only available at the physical offices of the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Arizona Resident Pioneer License: Resident must be 70 years of age or older and be a bona fide Arizona resident for the last 25 consecutive years leading up to the time of the application. Click on Pioneer License Application link to view on the AZGFD website.
Arizona Resident Disabled VET License: A resident must show certification from the Veteran’s Administration confirming permanent service connected disabilities rated as 100% disabling, and be a bona fide Arizona resident for the last 1 year leading up to the time of the application. Boy Scout and Girl Scout High Achievement License
Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts who have reached the highest level in their organization, and up to and through the calendar year of their 20th birthday, can now get a reduced fee Honorary Scout combination hunting and fishing license (Class F) . Recipients of the Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of Scouts of America and Girl Scouts who have achieved the Gold Award are eligible for this reduced fee license.
Those wishing to obtain this license will need to complete the Honorary Scout License application (see below), and present the required documentation at any Department office will qualify for the reduced fee.
